No fun
Today I was suppose to go to LazarX with my youth group but it closed on Jan. 18th. Update: We went to the mall in Tyler and ate at Ci Ci Pizza. Not to much fun

Friday Five
You have just won one million dollars:
1. Who do you call first?
I guess family followed by friends.
2. What is the first thing you buy for yourself?
17" inch PowerBook, A new car, Plasma TV
3. What is the first thing you buy for someone else?
Trip or a cruise.
4. Do you give any away? If yes, to whom?
Church. They really could use it.
5. Do you invest any? If so, how?
What's ever left over I guess.

Add RSS Headlines to your Weblog
Ok this is cool. It allows you to insert RSS feeds into your weblog. I just added one to my tech news site.
iPod
I got my iPod yesterday at Best Buy. They had the 15 Gig. This thing is so light and thin. The touch sensitive buttons are so cool. I barely touch them and they respond. Firewire is so fast. It transferred all of my music in iTunes in under 20 seconds. The back already has scratches on it. That’s ok. I knew about that when I decided to get it that the back would get scratched easily. And figure prints show up on it too. I am very happy with it. This truly is a very cool device.
RSS Feeds for iTunes Music Store
The iTunes Music Store is now offering customizable RSS Newsfeeds for use in newsreaders such as Ranchero's NetNewsWire. You can create feeds based on your preferences of type of music and which list you want to watch, such as New Releases, Top Songs, Top Albums, and more.

An attempt to auction off the state of West Virginia drew 56 bids and nearly enough promised dollars to fill the state's projected budget hole before eBay learned of the joke. [USA Today]

Nothing to blog
There is nothing to blog about. I am just waiting for next week. I get my iPod. But, I am not sure that the stores will have the 15 Gig model yet. So I am not sure what I am going to do. I might have to wait longer or get it off the Apple store online. At least if I do get it online I get free engraving. The 365 Project that I was working on is dead.

iPod Mini
Apple today has announced that they are moving the 10GB iPod up to 15GB with the same price of $299. They also just announced the iPod Mini. 4GB hard drive holds up to 70 hours of music. Touch-sensitive Click Wheel. It will sell for $249. It will hold 1,000 songs and it is about the size of a business card. It has a dock and armband. It also will come in colors. Available in the US in February and worldwide in April. Note: I do not like the iPod Mini. For $50 dollars more I can get more storage and all the accessories that are already out for the iPod. Update: I like the iPod mini.

Hard Drive
I have 10 GB hard drive and it is almost full. I only have 700 MB free to use. Is that sad or what? I wish I had the money to get a larger hard drive. But I don't and probably never will. I have alot of digital pictures and digital video. I do alot of video capturing. I have a CD-RW but it is a peace of junk. It only works when it wants to. My dream system if I could have one would be:
2.4 GHz
512 MB memory
120 GB Hard Drive
DVD-RW/CD-RW
17"inch LCD
Nvidia 128MB Video Card with TV-Out
5.1 Surround Sound Card

Going Crazy
Everywhere you go they are sold out of it. I'm talking about the iPod. Who would think that in October 2001 when the iPod was introduced that it would be so popular. And in April 2003 Apple launched its own music store that it would change the way people buy music forever. They have already sold 25 million songs off iTunes. That is incredible. And Apple made a very good move when they introduced iTunes for Windows. And with recent rumors it looks like Apple is going to come out with a Mini iPod in January at the Expo. Probably a 2 GB or 4 GB model. I wish they would move the 20 GB down to the $299 price tag and include the accessories with it. That is why I don't have my iPod that I was promised for Christmas yet. I told my mother that I wanted to wait and see what Apple does after the Expo. I hope that this is the right decision. I can't tell you how badly I am wanting my iPod. I have bought several songs off iTunes. I love that software. Well, I guess time will tell.

Rambling
I got my 128 MB compact flash card today in the mail. I put it in my digital camera and it shows that I can take 1,355 pictures. That is alot of pictures. The car is now fixed. There was a hole in the vacuum tube. Went to Tyler today to get my mother a Christmas present. Then we went to Red Lobster. I had shrimp with a steak. It was so good. Our CompUSA is history. The store was closed and the sign was gone. I guess I will have to get my iPod at Apple's online store or Best Buy. I don't think I can make it up to our Apple store in Plano.

LOTR
I just got back from seeing The Return of the King. That movie was 3 hours and 20 minutes long. I have not read the books so I can't compare them with the movies. But, this movie was the best one out of the trilogy. I think this was the best movie of my lifetime. It is the first movie that I have gone to where when it was over people clapped and yelled. But just when you think it is going to say "The End" it kept going on. I like the way Peter Jackson finished the trilogy. Go and see this movie
Media
I just ordered a new Lexar 128 MB compact flash card off ebay. Finally enough room for pictures and mp3s.
